Stunning Outdoor Maternity Sessions
So many outdoor locations and so little time.
When I am photographing outdoor maternity sessions, I am looking for the light. The light is going to make or break an image! All of the locations here at the studio are gorgeous. There is a 4 acre pond, apple orchard, walking paths, country roads, tall grassy fields and the sweet horses at the front gate. I am so fortunate to have such a large area to use for outdoor photo sessions.

If you scroll through these images you’ll see amazing l-i-g-h-t! I am constantly watching the light here at the studio and I can tell you where the best light is at any given time of the day. There it is….the secret sauce….light 🙂
Knowing how to see the light and use the light is the trait of a photographer’s eye. I plan my outdoor time according to the light first and other conditions factor in as secondary thoughts.
