The Whale NicCole Photo
The whale in my most recent Charlotte child photographer session was a complete after thought. When I got my images downloaded and viewed them as soon as I saw the image, I had taken with the DJI Phantom drone, I knew I had to add a whale to the photograph.
This family, like my family are christians and we had had a conversation about our children growing up and the prayers we pray over them. So naturally my mind drifted to Jonah and the Whale in the Bible when I saw the image. It’s such a great story for children, but also full of lessons for us as parents. I also thought that I may never get these children to go for a ride in my row boat anymore :)…..they may genuinely think this large fish lives in my pond.
Our yearly portrait session makes me smile to see these sweet children growing and how comfortable they all have become with my camera.
We had a quick boat ride and then played a few games. We finished our photo session with fresh watermelon and seed spitting contest. I am always drawn to the things I or my parents did in their childhood. Eating watermelons and seed spitting was BIG fun for me and my brother 🙂 These boys loved it too!
