Lake Wylie Newborn Boating Portraits
I have got to share a bit of back story here with this Lake Wylie newborn boating
The planning of the rowboat portrait session.
This rowboat is not lightweight and is solid wood. It is a dream prop for the prop junkie in me. I was nearly knee-deep in the mud trying to place this boat where I wanted it to be based on the light. I wanted the boat to be sitting in the mud to make it more secure for mom and baby. In years to come, I will have dad row them around the pond in the boat. I am hoping to get some Sebastopol Geese for my pond. These geese are Mother goose come to life type of geese. I mean true fairytale-like. Sorry I got off track of setting up the boat for our portrait session. I added a few blankets and pillows to the boat for comfort. They added texture that I love! I grabbed a few flowers from the studio and that completed what I needed for the boat. Mom arrived with baby and we grabbed this burnt orange dress from the studio wardrobe and added the headband for baby. I made the flower crown earlier in the day knowing that this mom would love that little addition. I just snipped cuttings from the trees here at Fiery Knoll.
